David Spero

Web Design and Development for a Non-Profit Venture

David Spero is an Arizona-based spiritual enlightenment guru offering self-awakening through guided meditation techniques. The prime goal of this project was to execute a complete overhaul of Mr. Spero's website into a thematic portal which would allow site visitors to 1) experience Mr. Spero's teachings through a thematic experience, 2) book consultations with him, and 3) order books and audiovisual files through an integrated e-commerce feature.

My Role

Product Lead
I worked closely with the David Spero, spiritual enlightenment guide and author, developing the UX strategy ad roadmap for the e-commerce web portal. I then facilitated the end-to-end design process including stakeholder engagement, developer briefing, project plan development, market analysis, ideation, design of responsive prototypes, development, implementation and testing.

Key Considerations

01.

Design Responsiveness

The website prototypes were built in Figma and design responsiveness tested throughout the end-to-end design chain.

02.

Loading Time Optimization

A key aspect of the development and testing phase is to ensure that the website loads within 3-5 seconds or less regardless of the device interface, accounting for its image-heavy nature.

03.

Accessibility in Design

Site content was designed and implemented iteratively to align with accessibility guidelines (WCAG).

04.

Scalability

The design has a flexible nature to accommodate more content while also accounting for superior user experience.

Nav is the best designer I've worked with in over 10 years. I've collaborated with many freelance UX designers, but Nav truly stands out. Nav is flexible, organized, professional, and creative. He doesn’t need much guidance and quickly understands the client’s vision after brief calls. His structured approach made the design process smooth and efficient, resulting in high-quality designs with minimal revisions that perfectly met the client's needs. Nav follows a clear three-step process: brainstorming, creating a brand book, and developing low-fidelity and high-fidelity designs. He also included an interactive design and a mobile-responsive version, which was a great addition.Nav's ability to understand ideas quickly and work independently while maintaining a professional and friendly approach is invaluable. His communication is excellent—quick, clear, and always on time. I highly recommend Nav. Trust him with your project, and you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to our next project together, Nav!
