Maverick Consulting Corp

Web Design and Branding for a Fitness Consulting Outfit

Maverick Consulting Corp is a Toront-based self-development counselling outfit, specializing in mentoring individuals in physical fitness / bodybuilding / mental health and wellness, as well as in nurturing interpersonal relationships. The project was to build a client-facing portal for Maverick Consulting to 1) source leads and 2) deliver fitness/wellness solutions for consumers.  

 

My Role

UX Strategist & Designer
I worked closely with the CEO, Maverick Consulting to develop the strategic roadmap for the corporate website, including the official logo design. I then designed the end-to-end website using Squarespace, accounting for design accessibility and scalability.

Once the site was live, I collaborated with the CEO to open up admin access to the CMS for dynamic update of webpage content.

Key Considerations

01.

Design Responsiveness

The website was built in Squarespace and design responsiveness tested throughout the end-to-end design chain.

Accessibility in Design

Site content was designed and implemented iteratively to align with accessibility guidelines (WCAG). Additionally, a new feature was added to allow users with accessibility needs to change font size, brightness, color contrast etc.

Loading Time Optimization

Scalability

Additional features such as direct consultation bookings including an integrated calendar were designed but not incorporated for Phase 1.
